PRESERVATION OF THE MATERIAL IN THE DIGITAL REPOSITORY OF ATHENS

The OPEN ELEUSIS project, a combination of archival, ethnological and artistic research, collected and produced a wealth of new data in the form of texts, archival research documents, photographic material, and interviews in the form of videos and films. All this multimodal material was registered in the digital repository created by the ATHENS Research Centre for the preservation and interconnection of all the works produced within the context of the Eleusis Cultural Capital 2023. The documentation was accompanied by the application of linked open data methodologies and technologies, synchronization tools, the use of metadata formats, and preview icons that allow connectivity with both Europeana and Wikipedia, in order to achieve maximum interoperability of the repository with the corresponding European and global cultural search engines, promoting thus this part of the project as well.
